Yeah, it wouldn't tree top my arm hairs like the other razors I have here did, so I stropped it and tried again, still no go. Shaved with it a bit and it didn't seem ready to go. I will probably send it out to Lynn or someone with one or two other razors to get shave ready for me so I have something to compare it to.

It's not really RAD, already have boar and badger brushes, DEs, VDH soaps, Neutrogena face scrub, N shaving gel, N razor defense AS balm, styptic, horsehide strop, and self made paddle strops.

The RAD got me bad when I saw this on Ebay tonite. I currently have 8 de-pinned razors sitting on the bench of my newly built "razor shop" out in my barn. I have been busily assembling the tools and stuff needed to do it right. I again must offer thanks to Lynn, gssixgun, undream and all the others whose videos I have watched, and articles and tips I have read. I am just waiting on some greaseless compound to get here to tighten up a couple of the more stubborn blades and I should be ready to put the finishing touches of a few of them and get pictures up for you guys to critique I have always loved "tinkering" with stuff, grew up welding swamp buggies and airboats together. You guys have seriously helped me avoid most of the learning curve. I did chip one blade using a dremel, but it was an R & D blade that I got in a lot of 3 for 10 bucks on ebay and was chipped already. I hope and think that I have taken my time so far, and gotten the feel on the buffing wheels etc... I am eager to try out my 4x4 stainless jewelers block and my half dome hammer (per Lynn's video) this week, and plan to practice pinning on a couple of junker scales before I move on to the ones I really want to keep. Thanks for all the help guys ... I will post pics soon of finished products I hope

Currently have a Gillette Super Speed flare tip inherited from my grandfather over at Razor Emporium getting cleaned up and re-plated with nickel. I plan to give it to my dad as a belated Father's Day gift.

When I first glanced at the pictures, I looked at the first one and thought it was a VERY special gift from a state where marijuana is legal, at least as I imagine it would look.
    Just call me Harold

Waiting (somewhat impatiently) on a Paragon heat treating oven as well as some other steel and supplies.
