I walked away from my auto-bid amount, EJ, as I had serious remodeling to resume. Had you gone up roughly $5, you would have been the proud owner of this fine razor, and that still would have been a steal, IMHO.

Please tell me you're not following the auction of a certain Japanese razor, though, as I'm now a wee bit nervous we are on the same RAD wavelength.

Lol not following any Japanese razors currently I'm getting to unless I feel I have to have it I dont get in bidding wars any more. Any more I have the mind set that if I bid and get it awesome, if not then oh well. There are plenty more fine razors to be had enjoy it

This marvel arrived today. The horn got brown, but other than that - it's in pretty descent condition too.

I'm waiting on a Thiers Issard Kingwood 7/8 Spartacus. Beautiful razor, is due to land at my place on Tuesday the 11 th of April. No shoulder, beautiful 24k gold washed Spartacus insignia, square point. A razor I'll use tape on the spine of this one. The usual issues with the Thiers Issard factory edge is my only concern, I have 3 others, all 7/8, one, the Bijou De France had a Straight bevel, but the Ram's horn with barber's notch was a pretty frown sort of thing, took a bit of work, but in the end that C135 steel makes it all worthwhile.

Westholm starter strop 3" wide with flax linen second strop. I'm actually blown away by the quality of this for what it cost.

Pardon the cruddy photograph, it doesn't do the strop justice

the scales will probably need replacement - or at least heavy rework - but the blade itself is nearly perfect.

Old honey horn scales, try save them if you can. That blade looks barely used, nice score.

Just picked up another Bengall. According to the measurement in the pic is a hair over 6/8 and in great shape. Looks like it has been lightly used with no real hone wear. It will be nice to have 1 I don't need to put much more than a polish on for once.
My wife calls me......... Can you just use Ed
