I'm waiting on a La Veinette 150 x 50 mm coticule directly from the mine at Ardennes.

It will be my first natural stone. Looking forward to learning how to get a comfortable edge from it.

They sell Ardennes select Coticule at the SRD store. I know, I bought one. The box the sell for it says Ardennes on it. How much is this stone costing you? They also sell a slurry for it.

Sorry for the dumb questions but what's the benefits of a magnifier? Is it somethingi may need starting off or something I will want later on?

You would only need one if you are honing or doing restores. Nothing to do with day to day shaving.

You can look at the edges of a razor & look at your honing to make sure you may have gotten any micro chips out. You can also spot micro chips with one you would normally not be able to see with the naked eye.

Already answered, but I'm going to pitch in anyway.
I've got a blade that doesn't want to take an edge from a 5/8/12K progression. Two other blades come out excellent, one doesn't.
The magnifier is to help my old tired eyes see if I'm doing what I am trying to do with the blade.
The 1 and 3K stones are to reset the bevel (I think that it was originally set with tape, which I do not use).

The AS samples are because I can!

I'm a very occasional coffee drinker, but I love the Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee.I bought a small amount when my wife and I were in Jamaica. It could almost make a daily drinker out of me. May I ask where you ordered it from?

I have an SRW 3" strop in Italian leather as well as a jar of Tabac shaving soap on the way. It's my first high quality strop and my first tallow-based soap. I can't wait!
