I used nothing but Col Conk (almond) for a while and I have almost finished the second puck. A good honest glycerin soap, I still use it, but I also wanted to branch out and start a rotation on soaps and paired aftershaves. Mama Bear's Aged Spice is amazing if you like Old Spice scent.
I just put MWF into the rotation. The lanolin is very nice and I think this will be a great soap for the winter. I just picked up Truefitt & Hill ultimate comfort cream -- expensive but rather amazing stuff! I have some more samples in the mail. I've only recently figured out samples. You can try a lot more products without committing to one.
I recently received a full size bottle of Pinaud Clubman in the mail -- this started as a sample. I have enough (larger bottle) to last for years. It started with a small perhaps 1 oz sample from Garry's Sample shop. Try out Garry's Sample shop and you'll have a lot more 'in the mail.'

Best,
EdI routinely badger myself and the shaves are improving!

My Macbook Pro has 8gb ram so it is fast & I can wait until the last 2 seconds to confirm my bid! It's a nice razor. Like I said, I didn't think it had ever seen a hone so last night I got out my loupe & was looking at it & I can barely see some light scratch marks as if someone did put just a few strokes on it & that's all. They are very hard to see even with a loupe.

Yeah I won it but you almost had it. I have never seen an old razor with such good honey horn in great condition as this one before plus this one has just barely a few very light hone scratches on it with my loupe other than that it looks like it has never seen a hone.

Yes, I'll do that! I'll clean it up the best I can. I was thinking if i took it apart, I could clean the insides of the scales but I also thought there might be a way to do it w/o taking it apart. I really don't wanna do that. It looks so good already. One thing, I really don't know how to clean the black crud off the blade. I'd use my Dremel like I normally do with some Maas but the etching isn't stamped into the blade like a lot of etchings. I need to research that.
