Aloha!
J.W. Hulme luggage is very pricey, but the quality is the very finest you can imagine. I bought my Hulme luggage in about 2005. Since then, the prices on the pieces I bought have doubled, and in a few cases, tripled. I'm glad I bought them when I did. They are absolutley exquisite pieces of workmanship. Every stitch, every piece of leather, and every yard of canvas is simply perfection. And, they are guaranteed for life, no questions asked.
Hulme used to supply luggage to Orvis for the Battenkill line of sportsman's luggage, but Orvis decided to save money and went with a Chinese company Knock-Off of Hulme luggage in about 1995. The quality of Orvis Battenkill shrunk considerably, and that's when I switched and went with J.W. Hulme luggage. I still own a few pieces of Orvis Battenkill PRE-Chinese that was made by Hulme. I used to be an avid Fly Fisherman, so that's how I discovered the Battenkill line of luggage at Orvis and fell in love with the design.
All this aside, I love my J.W. Hulme luggage. I'd NEVER EVER check it as general baggage. Everything I own in their luggage line can be carried on the plane. It is truly heirloom quality, and I will be handing it down to my Niece and Nephew (I have no children of my own). Mine is engraved with my initials but via brass plates attached to the luggage, not directly etched on the leather, so they can remove the plates when they use the luggage 25 years from now and put their own initials on it.
Mahalo!

Aloha!
Time to re-supply the barber/shaving towels. Ordered a dozen with green stripe (to match the decor of the bathroom);
And THIS looked INTERESTING to me. C.O. Bigelow Citrus and Vetiver Cologne. I've had good luck with Bigelow products in the past and they are inexpensive for the quality. There used to be a C.O. Bigelow store in Waikiki, but that has closed. So now it's only mail order. Don't think I have ever smelled or worn citrus vetiver cologne before. Looking forward to it.

The Saito is a very nice razor, that big smile gets right under the hard to get areas on my chiseled and incredibly well defined jaw area, where it's tough sometimes to get BBS smoothness, but the Saito tucks right under...as always, you forget the Japanese razors tend to be smaller, so it's not the massive sickle / scythe the pics make them out to be.
Very happy to have it Shaun...scratched one off the RAD list...

One of the Online DJ's from Rockabilly Radio turned me onto this and it's finally on it's way. The first Album Chuck Berry produced in over 40 years and of course his last album! I purchased it 5 days after his passing. I had the option of buying it on vinyl in a couple of forms but I chose the CD.
As John Lennon once said: "If you want another name for Rock and Roll, you could call it Chuck Berry".
I can't wait to hear the entire album. Our house is as Neil left it- an Aladdins cave of 'stuff'.

Hey Roy, will you post your thoughts of the CD after you've given it a spin, please? Chuck Berry put out a ton of great music and influenced so many great bands, so would love to hear your thoughts on this one!

I can't say much about the video with this but it's a great tune in Chucks Classic Style. I see that some pukes have already taken advantage of the pre-release of Big Boys to do do covers---I hope that they all rot in hell!!
Here's what I 'believe' is the Official Video released last month:

Thanked: 481Sometimes hanging around here makes it hard on the old credit card. Got a PM/lead on a stone that's been on my want list but hard to find considering the Yellow Lake mine has been closed over 90 years now.
New Welsh slate for the collection! Now I get to see first hand if the new matches the performance of the original.

Sweet hone!
Sometimes....I really wish I liked to hone as much as some here do. Try this stuff.
To me, it is a necessity. Tried and tru, BAM, POW! Honed.
As often as I can, anyway!
