I used to face lather exclusively, once in awhile engage in a "shave parade" of the hot scuttle, towel, the whole works. Eventually, I found, IMO at least, you get a chance to bring the bloom and fragrance of the soap out much more using a scuttle with hot water, not boiling water as it will break down the lather, give it a couple of tries, something to at least throw into the mix once in awhile.

Did you try those PannaCrema Blue, Rossa, and Verde soaps? They explode with scent and lather in a scuttle....:-)

RAD got the best of me again. Ever since I saw Brad Maggards restore of an old "The Real Tally Ho" on YouTube back when I first started straight shaving, I've wanted one ever since.

The verde, (brownish soap) really exploded in particular with scent but definitely the samples have been a pleasure to try..

I received notice that sartorial was back in stock at MenEssentials so ordered some eagerly.
Was the refill so I will need to turn a bowl for it still once it arrives.
While on their site and being so easily lured by free shipping after a certain threshold I had to order a bit more stuff.
Bamboo back scratcher, interesting new scent called 'In the Library', new razor brush stand, and some moustache wax added to the order as well..
Gawd here's one I better have shipped to work to avoid the questions at home, hehehe.
