Nice one, Diboll. Keep the blade open. Those scales are famous for gassing, FME!

Maybe not the right place but I just got a thought I had to write down somewhere.

I have not seen this but it has probably been thought of and discussed elsewhere!

Store or display in the open state but put a sacrificial piece of steel between the scales as an indicator if it is gassing....

Is there anything that can be done to prevent or retard the gassing?

Getting old so my brain sometimes operates in low gear. Would the sacrificial steel retard the corrosion on the blade or just be an indicator?

I finally found myself a Mauser razor. It’s in transit from Wisconsin at the moment. Between this and the Lunawerk razor that I got recently I’m almost done with my list of razors to find.
