Westholme strop fresh in. It is a beauty. The leather feels just like my DryGulch strop, so I'm pretty happy, the linen component is very fine and is just like my ScuppleWorks linen. It is all my preferences together.

Veg tanned leather. It is nice. I have used it once, fast leather and smooth linen. I really dislike zippy fabric, like nylon webbing. I think this is a great strop. Likely it will only get better.

Did you order yours from Ardennes? Because they only ship on fridays. So the one I ordered sat for almost a week before their site said the order was completed. I'm getting the feeling that it's going to be a while before it shows up at my door.

First, I will take everything apart that is suppose to do so, inspect it, put it back together, and check to make sure it is all mechanically sound. Then I will address any issues I find. After that, I will address the blade. Probably won't hurt to put a drop of Ballistol on each track while I'm at it.

The way that the materials are and mechanical part is made It seems unlikely that anything can go wrong with how it works unless it was abused pretty badly, they seem very sturdy. Nice looking set too by the way!
