Thanked: 4206Bunch of two band knots enroute from the Chinese alps.
Some 22 and 23.5 dia as I am not sure of the chubby area above the base on these projects.
Cheers."Depression is just anger,, without the enthusiasm."

No longer in the mail, but I've recently received one of the Sandalwood sample packs from WCS.
Tried the G.F. Trumper this morning.
Nice.

Thanked: 39I've got this Coti on its way. The brand is listed as a Belgian Fine Rock Quarries, but based on the razors listed on the label I'm thinking Pearlduck had something to do with it; importing at least

Cheese from the Crowley Cheese Factory in Mount Holly, VT.
Crowley makes absolutely the best sharp, extra sharp, and (my favorite) UNUSUALLY SHARP cheddar cheese!
They are the oldest continuously running cheese factory in the USA and there cheddar recipe has remained unchanged since they first started making cheese in 1824.

Thanked: 4206I ordered 4 of each Tom.
The Chinese vendors, while having nice knots, always seem to have more mid bulge than the shavemacs of the same base diameter I find..
Probably comes down to the quality of prebonding, tightness of bulb, amount of binder and tons of other variables that contributes to the significant price point delta. Hehe."Depression is just anger,, without the enthusiasm."

Ya, I almost considered a 'hose clamp' squeeze just above the plug to try.
Just a bit of round and round inside the handle made it fit!
Nice knots...An Oxyclean fizz got it blooming a bit before installation..

Aloha!
Since getting into honing a few months ago after decades of sending out my razors for honing, I have assembled a fairly good array of stones. My weak link was the finishing stone. I topped out with a Chinese 10k synthetic, not realizing I had a Jnat 12k Ocean Blue barber hone in my fly fishing kit.... recently pulled out and now part of my travel Dopp razor kit. But this is a very small stone made for travel or field use - thus the reason I found it at a Fly Fishing Store. It's made for sharpening while traveling. I needed something larger for the bench. The Chinese 10k really was marginally better than the Norton 8k. Not by much.
Dieseld was kind enough to pass on his Naniwa 12k Superstone to me after he acquired a Coticule and I just used it today for the first time. Nice indeed.
Huge jump over the Chinese 10k.
HUGE thanks to Dieseld. I thank him, my razors thank him, and my face surely thanks him.
