Twas my thoughts too, Tom. The patina looks very even. ETA is Monday, we'll see upon arrival.
Can't wait...always wanted one in a wedge. And it'll make my trifecta.
Wedge
Reground. Wedge to hollow grind.
Original, Hollow ground.
I think that covers my W&B wants... for awhile. Still lookin for the big Wosty to jump outta nowhere. Very elusive, and like I need more razors.
RAD is very contagious.
You mean like this one Mike?

This one I can narrow down to between 1863-1865 if I recall correctly. I'll have to find the thread I posted about it.
Edit: here's a link to the thread about it.:

Soaking right now
Got the Pike No. 1 cleaned up today. In my excitement I didn't get any before pictures other than the eBay pic but in the eBay picture I was almost afraid it was a carborundum stone in a Pike Washita box. It took well to the soak in the Simple Green. I think whoever had it before must have worked with gouges or some kind of 90° edged tool as there was wear evenly down both sides of the top where it had a high swath down the middle. Again, I didn't get good before pictures but this is after a little lapping.

This stone was glued into the box but the glue broke loose before it came to me. I would have broken it out anyway but I would have tried to heat the glue so this didn't happen.

It cracked some of the stone with it. I used the heat gun and a chisel and cleaned up the box...

...and got it cleaned out.
Anyway so I got the stone clean. I got it flat. I got it smooth.
