    Congrats and enjoy!
    Yes Meissner is a little different but I find it super friendly to my crappy sensitive skin (mild rosacea). It and the S. Varesino soaps are my skins faves.

    How do you go with the MdC ? Lavender can be a bit of an irritant on some skins.

    Did you get those in Oz ? I stumbled on a local website that sells a big variety.

    Aloha!

    I have been on a quest for finding a very decent disposable or cartridge razor for travel on airlines with only carry-on luggage. So some of this post is for that purpose. Some is for an inherited Trac II handle, a NOS Protector blade set, and a Schick Injector handle.

    I inherited my late Uncle's shaving set that included a Protctor blade set (no handle) and a Schick Injector (barely used) razor handle, some old Rite Aid injector blades, and a surprisingly heavy Trac II handle made apparently from solid brass. So I had to order some cartridges, handles and blades to get all this rolling. Unfortunately, the eBay seller I chose had Trac II blades listed, but if I read the very small print at the bottom of the listing (which I did not), it said "will not fit Trac II razors". ??? Tract II carts that will not fit Trac II razors? That's because he shipped me Vector cartridges instead. I don't get why you'd headline a listing with "Trac II Cartridges" but then send Vector cartridges instead. Why even say Trac II in your headline listing? So I had to order a Vector handle to fit those 10 cartridges that he shipped me. It was less of a hassle than trying to send them back. And I finally did find a listing for Trac II carts and got those. I have never shaved with a Vector before, so it will at least be a fun experiment. Same for the Trac II. The last Trac II shave I did was in High School;

    Some members here recommended the Bic Metal and the Schick Exacta 2 Sensitive, and I'm glad they did. Both are excellent disposables for my skin type, and beard, so I'm set for airline carry-on travel;

    And I did have an issue with my Uncle's Injector. It came with some old Rite Aid injector blades. Horrible irritation. As I suspected, it was the blades. Rite Aid probably stopped maketing these 25 years ago, or more, and they caused horrible skin irritation when I tried them. After suggestions by members here, I ordered some Pella, and some Schick Injector blades. I get a much better shave now;

    Finally, my late Uncle's shaving gear included a NOS set of unopened (5) Schick Protector blades, but no handle. So, I ordered a NOS Schick Protector Handle with stand with blade guard from eBay, that came with one blade installed and one spare. I thought that because this was a WIRE-WRAPPED blade, similar (I thought) to a Feather Pro-Guard, it would be the perfect solution for travel. Nope. Not on my face. Perhaps it's because these carts are really old now, and the lubrication strip is deteriorated. And who knows how they were stored? It could be a high humidity storage garage in southern Florida. I doused the cart with 91 percent alcohol, but that is no guaranted of sanitization. So again, the lubrication strip was really deteriorated. Perhaps that's "Gumming up the works" as it were, or irritating my face. Whatever the reason, this was a total failure. I'm really disappointed because I had such high hopes that this would be the ultimate airline carry-on cartridge razor. Unfortunately, no;

    I got this Four Piece, Flat Bottom, travel Tech in the mail today from eBay in England. Being a Flat bottom and a 4 piece its twice as special in my opinion. It didn't come with the case but shipping was only 10 bucks so I am very happy to get this one.
