Good go, Zip! Great finisher, IMO.
Dieseled Dave will miss that, I predict!

Oh! Dave is a FINE man, I might add!

Nice, I've toyed with the idea of a 12k. But think it'd be more impulse than need.
    Good on ya Dave.
    Enjoy.

I didn't even know such a thing existed! But if ever there were a type of person to know about UNUSUALLY SHARP, it'd be one of us straight razor "wackos" . Lol.

SWMBO and I love cheese. Our refrigerator gets depressed when we get down to half a bag of shredded mozz., and a few slices of Kraft Singles (those are more for guests & their burgers). My wife especially likes sharp cheddar...

Allow me to feed the "impulse" hehehehe...

The Shapton M5 12k ceramic hone is only about $50 (+/- a few $$) on Amazon. It may not be a Glass series SS, but it will give you a taste of 12k for a fraction of the price. It is my finishing hone, and I am satisfied with it. I don't even have crox or anything for my strop yet.

Got me some strops in the mail last night. Now to find a good way to hang and find the progression. The new SRD Strops all feel hard, slick. Guessing they are going to need to be broke in a bit. So now ive got 6 strops with 5 diferent types of leather.

They are nice Mike, and very enjoyable to use as the last step. Thanks Brother

My coticule is doing very nice as my last step. I have found it to be as smooth as the 12k and possibly a bit more smooth. Just my opinion.
Also, I have been helped and, guided by another friend here, as to getting the finish I have been chasing

I will say the Nani SS 12k is an easy stone to use as a finisher.
But I've taken to the coti real well, in my opinion. I'm beginning to think, that stones are like our razors, brushes and soaps.
We each take to a different one that fits our style/preference. And th coti seems to fit me well.

    Thanks Jerry
