Thanked: 98How to fit in here?
Gugi tells me some "deeply Conservative members want me banned", well, that does Not help me correct my mistakes. I am not stupid as Gugi alludes to as I was tested at 138 IQ, I am however a little Bipolar which is a chore to deal with at times.
What I am asking is that those members come forward and state that they want me gone, if 7 come forward I will go away and be No Help Nor hindrance of this fine site any more. I definitely don't want to be where I am Not wanted, any more than You would.
I must say though that Glen sure mopped the floor in the RNC thread with Gugi and RobinK, I made the mistake of posting and got banned from the conversation, Hahaha, YOU GO GLEN!!
Have at me Gent's, now is your chance and Thank you, Dave.

Just remember why you joined this forum in the first place, lots other threads to be a part of. Just my 2 cents.
Why doesn't the taco truck drive around the neighborhood selling tacos & margaritas???

Thanked: 3795This is nothing about you specifically.
I have said this many times before.
I figure that participating on SRP is like being a guest in someone else's home. If you are drinking beer in the garage with few other guys, your behavior can be a bit different than it would be at a dressed up dinner party with mixed company. Your behavior has to be calibrated to the expectations of the host and all the other guests. What you might be perfectly comfortable saying in your own home is not necessarily appropriate for the ears of the guests in someone else's home, so you have to modify what you say and sometimes you have to choose not to say anything at all.
That's how to fit in, in general, but I have no specifics beyond that to offer.

Thanked: 98That is true, thank you ReardenSteel and OCD, Yep I'm a little OCD too.
Thank you too Utopian. You gent's are helping. I do understand Utopian and was raised just that way, usually I know what is appropriate.
Coming here after being on Patriotic rifle sites is a Big change and I have to gear down and mellow out.
A few years ago I started to see our country going down the tubes and started to study politics, in terms of happiness I regressed to extreme unhappy with the goings on in our Government, wish I had never looked as Ignorance is Bliss.Last edited by FAL; 07-27-2016 at 09:34 PM.

First off, I'm not one of those members.
Second, some of your posts have been odd. Nothing recently has been "out-right" ban worthy. Although I haven't seen some posts before edits. If you want a second set of eyes on something, I'll volunteer an unbiased opinion through PM. I've had a manager with bi-polar, it can be difficult.
Third, I understand the desire to discuss topics so that people can see your side of things. However, that can be an extraordinarily tall order, some people have their views and will never change. It is what it is.
Lastly, I would recommend thinking of the more opinionated forums as no-go areas, that's what I do. Post some shave of the days, help all members and above all else try to make people feel welcome.

I've read your posts, and never noticed anything out of the ordinary. You're OK as far as I'm concerned... I was a little rough around the edges when I was younger, but time has a way of smoothing us out.
Internet forums are populated by all types of people, just like the world in general. I try to remember that we all have opinions.. some held very strongly, and that my opinion is no more, or less valid than anyone else's!

I have also never seen anything you've said as out of line an don't wish to see anyone banned. I would just remember that some people get their panties in a wad now days over anything an everything. I also have noticed that certain members can say what they wish an others can't so I guess just be careful who you say it to.

Thanked: 1082I tend to stay away from threads about politics, guns etc as they can get heated very quickly, opinions are like ass holes, everyone has them. Sometimes though its better to say nothing at all.

I don't know of anything you have said that stick out as being overly offensive to me. It's a discussion board.... thus we discuss. If anything, I would remind some people that you shouldn't throw rocks when you live in glass houses.
The older I get the more I realize how little I actually know.
