Many people on Internet forums have difficulty interacting socially in real life. Combine that with topics on politics and religion and it becomes disastrous. It is so cool that the board has meet ups and keeps the taboo topics closely reined in. Wonderful place to learn about a gentleman's hobby....

The title of this thread is "How to fit in here".
No one has to do anything special or be anything special. There is no fitting in.
You just treat others with respect and follow the few rules we have.
The problems start when folks don't do this and when they are dressed down for it they become defiant and that's where the problems really begin as with many other similar issues in real life.No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero

Thanked: 3795In the OP's slight defense, he did ask the question and his reply to what some of us wrote seemed to suggest that he appreciated our responses and I was hopeful he would be able to toe the line. I recognized a few times when he crossed it but I thought he might improve. I'm sad to see him go.
The other guy, not so much.Last edited by Utopian; 07-29-2016 at 11:07 PM.

Thanked: 3795Yes, I understand that he had several opportunities for self-correction. I was not in any way criticizing the mods' action. I was just saying that I admired that the OP at least recognized some fault on his part and for that reason, I hoped that he might change his ways. He at least seemed more self aware than a few others.

If I had your sensibility, I might be married. Lol
I'm the kind of guy that curses more than average. It is something that my father and I enabled each other growing up. Honestly, I'm surprised I haven't swore when complementing some of great work we see here.

We don't all want to get along. I just want to shave even if I don't like everyone. Tc
