Whilst this is true Jimmy, I think most reasonably sensible people will know where it is appropriate, the language I use around my work colleagues is vastly different to that which I use around my daughter.

Many people on Internet forums have difficulty interacting socially in real life. Combine that with topics on politics and religion and it becomes disastrous. It is so cool that the board has meet ups and keeps the taboo topics closely reined in. Wonderful place to learn about a gentleman's hobby....

    Have a great day...

The title of this thread is "How to fit in here".

No one has to do anything special or be anything special. There is no fitting in.

You just treat others with respect and follow the few rules we have.

The problems start when folks don't do this and when they are dressed down for it they become defiant and that's where the problems really begin as with many other similar issues in real life.

In the OP's slight defense, he did ask the question and his reply to what some of us wrote seemed to suggest that he appreciated our responses and I was hopeful he would be able to toe the line. I recognized a few times when he crossed it but I thought he might improve. I'm sad to see him go.

The other guy, not so much.

The OP had 4 previous instances where it was necessary for mod action, including previous time outs. Ninety nine out of 100 SRP members never experience mod action.

Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Yes, I understand that he had several opportunities for self-correction. I was not in any way criticizing the mods' action. I was just saying that I admired that the OP at least recognized some fault on his part and for that reason, I hoped that he might change his ways. He at least seemed more self aware than a few others.

I'm the kind of guy that curses more than average. It is something that my father and I enabled each other growing up. Honestly, I'm surprised I haven't swore when complementing some of great work we see here.

We don't all want to get along. I just want to shave even if I don't like everyone. Tc
