chuckle..... This is a very short report, if I wait until I have 20 minutes to write all this down, another day will pass again, and I feel sorda bad (sorda...lol) about making you wait.

for the first round of samples......

    • the base and scent of #1 is preferred
    • the other scent of choice is the #3

    For the second round.....
    • the base and the scent of #4 is preferred
    • the other preferred scent, is the Rose.......but is not eligible for the AS for SRP

Favorite description of #4 scent......7 UP in a Cedar Chest ...chuckle.

I have 20 other things to add and no time for details. Gentlemen please feel free to voice your opinions.

Since the Rose was liked so well, I will be adding it to the line of TGQ products....Just for fun I attached two photographs of a bottle of real "Rose Otto".....the size that you see in the pictures costs $30.00.

    That's pretty good Rich...

I've become really good at copy and paste; so please indulge me here. The bottle in the photograph is 1/32 of an oz. The real mo-jo...

This is the description of Rose Otto....the German Reporter oh and some of the content is rated Adult....in a good way....

Sold by weight. Rosa damascena, steam distilled petals, Bulgaria. Rosa damascena may also be known by the names of Damask rose and Anatolian rose. Deep, sweet, rosy-floral, tenacious odor. About 30 roses are required to make 1 drop of oil and 60,000 petals to make 1 oz. of oil.

The essential oil of rose has a deep psychological effect. It is harmonizing, anti-depressive and helps make sorrow easier; soothes feelings such as anger, fear and anxiety. Rose otto oil is used extensively for gynecological conditions such as regulating hormones, functional infertility, uterine bleeding, strengthening the uterus, regulating menstruation, and relieving menstrual cramps.

Oil of rose is ideal for all skin care, especially for mature, dry or sensitive skin. It is antidepressant, antiseptic, antispasmodic, aphrodisiac, bactericide, diuretic, emmenagogue, laxative, sedative and stomachic. Since it is an emmenagogue, it is best avoided in pregnancy. Eases nervous tension and stress. Gives a woman positive feelings about herself. Calms premenstrual tension, promotes vaginal secretions and regulates the menstrual cycle. Its beneficial action on infertility aids ""male"" problems too probably by increasing the semen. Helpful with sexual difficulties, particularly frigidity and impotence. Blends well with bergamot, chamomile, clary sage, geranium, lavender, orange and sandalwood. Flash point: 130°̊F. Cannot ship via air or ocean without hazardous materials paperwork, Flammable Liquid N.O.S., UN #1993.

A nasty storm is cutting across the mountains so I'm off the air until morning...oh and by the way we had our very own male black bear right here in town...

It was a big to-do....Made the paper.....He was young, about 105 pounds. Climbed right up a tree in this ladies yard. Everyone was there.....except ME, I could have taken pictures!!!! They shot him with a tranquilizer gun, tagged and tattooed the poor little fella and took him off to Bolt Mountain.

Details for AS in the morning

    Dammm

That Rose Otto is really something. I would get a quart bottle if I could afford it. It appears to the best thing next to Spanish Fly (for those of you old enough to remember that)

    Good Morning Gentlemen,

    Starting over......

for the first round of samples......

the base and scent of #1 is preferred
the other scent of choice is the #3

    For the second round.....
the base and the scent of #4 is preferred
the other preferred scent, is the Rose.......but is not eligible for the AS for SRP

These are my findings for 5 out of 7 testers, and in practical terms it translates as follows, I have to count your comments based against what I know I can adjust.

I should also include that the base of #5 was a close second, so I'll list as follows.

Favorite base or carrier in order of preference, #4, #1 and #5. The base of number #5 would have taken 2nd place but lacked the proper cooling.

Taking each report individually.......and trust me, everyone is VERY different in what seemed to work or not work ( shew....), and it was intriguing that each of you could be so different. This has been a good "practical" lesson for me from the "mad soap scientist" point of view.

I took all positive comments and put them in row with their corresponding numbers, and then the negative or "not so favorable"...lol...comments in another row, looking for consistencies. The following comments are for the bases only, not the scent.

most of you liked #1.......because you liked the coolness, no one was jumping up and down with excitement, but the overall comments felt like the base had a good steady feel to it, a functional product. A workhorse....

most of you also liked #4......you liked the coolness (after shaking ) with good soothing properties and astringent quality. #4 moved ahead of #1 because of positive comments regarding how your skin felt thru out the day.

annndddd most of you liked #5. This is getting hard to explain...lol. You liked the feel of the base....but it lacked cooling and an astringent quality.

Going back over the notes I can see than I am wrong about the scent choice of #4.......a few of you liked it, but #6 finishes just ahead. I will agree with our wine taster comments and say that I think with some small adjustments to #6 I can develop the notes to "sing" together instead of separately....more harmony in the crowd....lol.

    Scent choice....round one.......#1 and #3

    Scent choice...round two.......#5 & #6

#5 is excluded and we'll go to TGQ, which leaves #1, #3 and #6

We will do one more test round with tweaks to the carrier and we will make our decision; these will go out ASAP (Monday) There will be two bottles, one workhorse, one thoroughbred.

We can choose two scents of the 3 available scent choices or we can try two new scents. I'll leave this up to you.....

I hope this isn't to confusing, Joe is a much better technical writer.....I'm a better story teller

    XXWarm Regards, Colleen

    Colleen,

Joe writes well but you were crystal clear to me.

If it were my decision of what two scents I would vote for 1&3. With 3 being my favorite... as I said Hawiian Surf.. I would avoid new scents unless the voting was too close. It is funny I have limited scent memory I really do not remember #1 or #4. I know I didn't like #2 (choc mint) and I still have a little of #6 I am still using and #5 (rose was very distictive so I remember that but for the life of me I can't remember the other's scents.
    Oh well aging I guess.
