Ed, you want a tip for something that you can try with the lindt?
M,y grandmother sometimes used to make a very simple, very tasty dessert, you take frozen(it's very important that they're frozen) blackcurrant, cream and powdered sugar and blend it in a blender until you have a thick paste and then it's ready, the 70% lindt goes very well with this and I'd reckon that you Aussies would like it because of your hellishly warm climate.
I don't remember the exact proportions since I haven't made it in a long time but if anyone's interested I can ask my gran when I see her tomorrow.Last edited by Baxxer; 02-11-2014 at 07:33 PM.

I promised myself I wouldn't buy anymore items for some time and then I read another thread on MDC...
I won't buy it, won't buy it... (keeping a strong mind against my demons)Last edited by Yves81; 02-11-2014 at 10:59 PM. Reason: grammar error
Sometimes I feel normal.
Then it's time to lay down and wait for it to pass.

I missed the card.........but I will do this now that I know - if it prolong's the life of the soap at the price it goes for I'm going to do it - plus it'll probably make my bathroom smell pretty good.....side benefitCHRIS

Thanked: 3Just picked mine up from the post office this morning. Oh my! That stuff lathers with next to nothing on the brush, thick, creamy, and I love the scent. Hard to describe, but intoxicating. My wife likes it too. I picked up one tub of each scent, although I can't really tell the difference.

Thanked: 3225Made the 2 hour return trip to cross the border and pick up my MdC Scented yesterday. The wife and I both agree that it smells quite a bit like Noxzema so that is the scent out of the way.
I used it this morning with the same razor I had used yesterday to get an excellent shave and surprise I got another excellent shave this morning. You can look at that 2 ways, MdC worked as well as the less costly shave soap or that it plain worked very well which it does. It appears to me and I have to agree that a little goes a long way to making a very good lather.
It is right in there with other soaps that I have that are top performers for me. Yes, I like the MdC Scented soap. Did the earth move when I used it? No, but I think my bowels did when I ordered it due to the cost if that is any consolation. Would I order it again? The jury is still out on that on due to cost to performance ratio and leans toward no. That may change over time as I use it more. That takes nothing away from it's very fine performance overall. Anyway, that is just the initial impression that I got.

Slight hijack, inspired by edhewitt, I went out today and bought a small wine fridge for my tallow soaps. There's a jar of MdC in there too.

Thanked: 375taking it to a whole other level! Years from now, we all will be talking about what vintage soaps we have and yes you know it will have the price tag to go with it, if it's for sale. I can hear it now, 2014 MDC a great year, aged like a fine wine it only gets better with time.....
