    Obie,

Glad your back and all is well. Must be a great relief to have both knees done and have the whole ordeal behind you. After rehab, you'll be dancing again!!

Soapwise, I have been really enjoying Noble Otter, so much so that I bought their BarrBarr. Stellar performance and scent, in my opinion. I'm also trying an array of their samples. All great performers, scent is subjective.

All the best for you and your rehab!

    Pete,
Thank you. Now at least I can walk a little.
I tried Noble Otter a while back. If I recall, it failed to impress me. Or am thinking of another soap? Senior moment.

    Obie,

Noble Otter has done nothing but totally impress me, especially BarrBarr.
Maybe it's me...I have senior moments too.

Enjoy it, then, Pete. If you like a soap or cream, go with it. I remember, years ago I came across a little unpretentious soap called Provence Sante Verlaine (named after the French poet Paul Verlaine) and have been using it ever since. Good stuff.

+7 Noble Otter was my favorite, of all of the samples that Ray brought, too.

Once you find the right soap, stay with it, is what I say. I found Martin de Candre a few years back and have stayed with it since — and plan to lather with it into the next century. Lots of good stuff out there.

Just a drive-by reaffirmation of Alvarez Gomez Barberia shaving cream after a wonderful BBS shave yesterday with my first razor .

Barberia is a serious lather bomber equipped with an inviting floral bouquet, top-notch performance and stellar skincare properties. I do not see how I could possibly justify buying a container of Baume.be to use in my suds arsenal when something like Alvarez Gomez is available instead -- the Baume.be, while matching performance in every other aspect just does not compete well here, IMHO.

Thanks for whoever put that one up on the grand list of shaving cream/soap.
