My order did arrive fairly quickly, of course, it's the only soap you can order from them, the "legendary" Lavender Creep, Regents and another one, some selling for $300 USD on ebay, were one off releases. But I did read they had some major customer service issues a few years back, one of the owners had an illness or something, but I know there are a ton of threads on various other forums about the various soaps and matching aftershaves, as well as discussions around the products and customer service.

It's great stuff in my opinion, spent an hour looking to try and find the Lavender Creep, which is supposed to be simply mind blowing, as well as a 100 year old recipe soap they made with Caswell or something...gone in hours, saw one going on eBay a week or so ago.....superb soap IMO in every way, you won't be disappointed....

Phrank: I used Dawn and hot water three times in succession to vanquish the horrible smell. It worked.

Prank: the stinky brush smell. I have been lucky enough to not have bad smelling shaving soaps. I suspect you are poking me in the ribs. Humor is great.
Is there any bay rum scented soaps that you like. I'm old enough that that scent appeals to me.

    Wow. Just...wow.

Unless it's some first batch "De Vergulde Hand", no shaving soap is worth that much.

    Hasslinger's soap revisited . . .

    Gentlemen,

From time to time I revisit soaps and creams that I have not used for a while, or that they somehow have slipped in the back of the product closet. This morning I stumbled into Hasslinger's, which sits in an Old Spice shaving mug.

Hasslingler's is an Austrian shave soap, made of sheep's milk and with a healthy dose of lanolin, and it comes in a very small puck. The soap is relatively inexpensive. Going from memory, I had placed it in the Third Tier of soaps and creams. It's been moved into the Second Tier.

I was surprised this morning at how good Hasslinger's soap is. I especially like the glide. The soap lathers well and has good cushion. In some respect, it reminds me of Mitchell's Wool Fat in characteristic, although I think I would give it a notch over Mitchell's.

My Old Spice shave cup contains to pucks, one on top of the other. Since it's been a while, I'm not sure which Hasslinger's I have. Either way, the fragrance is quite mild, clean and soapy, I would say. Gentlemen, if you have never tried Hasslinger's, I think it's worth the try. It is good stuff.

I have two of Haslingers soaps and enjoy them very much. They are the Schafmilch/Sheep's milk which is similar to MWF and Honig/Honey which does indeed have the scent of honey.
