Thanked: 1081I really like Trufitt and Hill creams, I was pleasantly surprised by the No.10, enriched with Willow Bark, Borage Oil, Meadowfoam Seed Oil, Sweet Almond Oil and Olive Oil it provides a good amount of skin nourishment and as as a bonus is about half the price of the other Trufitt creams.

OK I really have to stop hanging out with you lot of rapscallions. Every time I think I have what I need and wanted, I find a thread like this one that sends me back to chasing the white rabbit down the rabbit hole of discovery and enlightenment. For a few years I was relatively happy with my Proraso cream until I discovered in this thread that it was not as well designed as I had thought. Color me a NewB. So I opted to try a few off the list. I started with a second tier and I popped for a tub of TOBS sandalwood scented cream. Very nice and it way out preformed my Proraso. Now the story gets murkier because the Hookah-Smoking Caterpillar just wont get off my shoulder. Thinking to myself, after rereading the list, I said, "self, if a second tier was that much better, what do you think a first tier would be like?" I didn't answer back out loud but I did have a huge Cheshire Cat grin that made my Queen of Hearts wonder what on earth I was up to. Then I looked at the list again and opted to buy a tub of Penhaligon's Blenheim Bouquet Shaving Cream. Now when the Mad Hatters shows up at my door this week with my new cream in hand, I will be back to talk about it. And I pray my Queen of Hearts doesn't scream, "Off with their heads!"
But in the mean time, what do you think I could/should expect from this cream that the others do not have or can't compare to?"The production of to many usefull things results in too many useless people."

Suticat,
Penhaligon's Blenheim Bouquet has an intoxicating fragrance blending citrus, spice and woods. It's a clean and fresh fragrance. The cream provides a luxurious lather that offers good cushion and glide. Good stuff.

Thanked: 72This morning I tried out my second tub of soap from Country Club in Alabama. I previously gave the Grapefruit a 10 out of 10 simply because I couldn't find one thing wrong with it. This morning I shaved with their London Skies. I'm telling you, I shave with Martin de Candre a lot. I love it. But this Country Club stuff is performing for me every bit as good as MdC - and it's 15 bucks.
Country Club is now on my top tier for sure.

Well, the C&S 88 has gone to the "box", so long waxy puke puck!!! Gave it more than enough chances, for me, and in my humble opinion, a lacklustre lather with a waxy texture and an uninspiring, flat scent.
The C&S Oxford and Cambridge get's to stay in Tier 2, much nicer soap, again, in my humble opinion.....

I agree C&S soap the Oxford and Cambridge is 2nd tier soap, some of the B & M soaps are top tier in my opinion, some are 2nd tier only of because scent, but performance, and glide, and cushion are great one of my faves, I used klar soap this morning ending up in a great shave, along with the cologne, that soap is top tier.

B&M is top tier for me. Wills Mom came to a meet last year and she is the nicest person you could meet. Scent is a huge factor for me as well. Will and his family put out a top quality product for sure.
I did get a red tin of Cella and it works wonderfully for me and my water and brushes.Your only as good as your last hone job.

I agree I enjoy Cella as well
That's great that you were able to meet his mom, I really like family owned businesses that put hard work into a stellar product
