I like the Fine Italian Citrus A/S, I agree the soap are nice, but one thing that is kinda of annoying is that it doesn't come in the proper container to whip it up with, I guess a small price to pay for good performance... also where did you procure that T&h from ( Aspley)

I agree, hate it when soaps don't come in some type of usable container....

Got the Aspley from the main T&H Site in the UK...link will automatically take you to proper site, here's the Canuck version:

    Gentlemen,

This week I've been using the Italian soft soap Nuavia Rossa. Overall, this is a good soap, although I'm not sure if it is worth the high price. The soap lathers well, cushion is good, the residual slickness on the shaved parts could be better. The aftershave properties are good. Nuavia comes in two other scents: blu and vetyver. Nuavia blu is on the way.

As for Nuavia Rossa, I find the scent unpleasant, and overpowering, lasting almost all day. OY! I need more time lathering with the soap to be firm about which tiers it deserves. Right now, I'll put it in the first tier, subject to change. Of course, as always, this is only my opinion.

Thanks Obie - I'll wait for your second and hopefully third opinion on this soap, been on my radar for awhile.

The scent of the Nuavia blu has been praised considerably, and I am anxious to give the soap a try. Nuavia Ross's scent, though, gives me a headache. The scent reminds me of some of the current designer aftershaves and colognes, most of which I don't care for. On the other hand, I do like the lather, as I said, although I am discovering it needs steady moisture.

The barber pole, a present from a friend whose father was a barber, at one time held Avon aftershave. It sits on my shave den counter empty. I just love the looks of it: such a warm feeling. I suppose you could find it or something like it in an antique shop.

Ive been eying the Aspley , I really enjoy T&H creams and the description has me hooked. To me I find the fragrance from the likes of Penhaligons and Floris intoxicating and it seems T &H have steped up to the mark with the Aspley.

One of the best soaps out there today bar none. I have over a hundred soaps is at the top of list with a few others. But that is why they say YMMV!!!
