On an interesting note there have been around 103 soaps reviewed here and only 13 made First Tier. Wholly Kaw is in the mail for tomorrow.

I've now shaved with this soap a number of times, both face lathering and with a scuttle. As mentioned, I've enjoyed the scent from the beginning. It's wonderful. Building lather is fine, but it is a bit thinner than I would consider exceptional. Glide and protection are both very nice. Post shave feel is adequate and the scent dissipates quickly. This soap will be in my regular rotation. It is well balanced and a joy to use. My only downgrade would be lather density.

    Gentlemen,

The more I use Wholly Kaw the more impressed I am with this soap. The stuff is truly exceptional. I must admit, it has been a while since I found two soaps within a short period of time that have impressed me as much as Wholly Kaw and Oleo Soapworks. Sometimes I am tempted to give the edge to Wholly Kaw, a small edge, I should say.

Yes, the Oleo and the WK are really nice soaps. I've been doing some comparisons lately, all 4 MdC's against several soaps, Oleo, WK, couple of others.

One shave I use MdC, the next one of the newbie's, last night was the Vetiyver, against the WK Vetiver, and it just makes me laugh out loud, the pinnacle really is MdC, quick to load, instant lather, just amazing, but I agree, while I'd give the edge to Oleo, the WK is truly a delight to shave with.

Now the Tabula Rosa I just received, another very interesting soap, and quite nice as well...but waiting on the new Castle Forbes as well....

Well, yes, of course, Martin de Candre rocks, so Wholly Kaw and Oleo Soapworks are in royal company.

The first time I got Martin de Candre was in the brain bowl. This was some years ago and I have not been without the soap since then. I think it took me a couple years to finish the brain bowl.

I have the soap in the jar, but I am tempted to order the brain bowl again. It is such pleasure to use.
