It's funny, I had already considered that I should bring it up again to give you another chance to try it. This time, sneak it into the house and wait for a chance at it when she's not around.

BTW, I'll bring up the same puck you cut from last year, so you can see for yourself how long I make my soap last. It looks like a Tabac puck will last me at least 5 years too. In fact, the spot that you cut from last year is still visible on the top of my puck!!!

Actually just got my tabac in the mail today. I'm astonished that people have such issues with the scent. It's not overpowering to me at all.

But the real kicker is the lather. I'm still exacting my lathering technique, tabac makes lather easy as pie. And I can tell it's gonna last me a long time. I'm very happy with this new purchase!

She said it smelled like Lysol mixed with Aqua Net hair spray and said it was awful. She requested that I not use it and instead toss it. I thought it was a very strong scent.

I didn't gag when I smelled it, but I actually did gag when I smelled a puck of Van der Hagen cheap soap I bought from an online drugstore site. I actually gagged it was so strong and I thought bad. I chucked it and never even tried it.

Oh, I laughed when I read what you wrote because I actually think you might be serious.

Yup, totally serious, but I have yet to find another soap or cream that even comes close to the efficacy of Tabac. If it was as easy on the shnoze as, say, MWF soap or Penhaligon's Blenheim Bouqet, it would be a perfect ten.

I must agree with your wife's nasal assessment. I think she nailed it, actually.

It sure is hard to shave your upper lip when your other hand is pinching your nostrils shut, but you get used to it...

Well... while you guys quibble over the smell of Tabac, I am going to douse myself in the usual fashion and continue manwhoring up and down the eastern seaboard. Ladies, watch out! Drinks are on me!

    Bottoms up!

English isn't my first language either, but I have no trouble sensing any of the joking style.

By the way, make sure to wear your Sonny Crocket outfit when prancing up and down the seaboard:

edit: Oops! Just saw it has to be New Jersey style.

Crockett was always sporting that 5 o'clock shadow. Definitely not a Tabac man!

I bet his feet smell though: (Miami heat+loafers)-socks=odiferous

I suppose a splash of Tabac AS in the loafer at the start of the day could freshen them up a bit!

And he still needs a shave.

Your post shows once more how universally applicable Tabac is!
