    Default L'occitane soap or cream?

I just discocovered there is a L'occitane boutique in my mall, which would have been good to know when I first started and was using stuff I found at walmart.

I just got some MDC which is amazing to say the least, and my castle Forbes is about to run out soon, so do I get another proven soap to compare with MDC or the cream since I'm about to run out of my only quality cream? Definitely gonna pick up the asb, haven't tried out a high end asb yet.

I haven't heard much about the cream tho I have seen it in a few shave of the day pics so I know some of you guys are using it.

Supposedly the cream was recently reformulated. The old version was horrendous. I mean absolutely terrible. Hopefully the new version can lather, but I wouldn't take my chances at $30 a tube. Buy the refill puck for $12. It will last much longer and its a solid performer

I just picked up a puck and put it in a wooden bowl I have from another soap, I wanted the dish but they were sold out. I picked up the Cade aftershave as well and I really like re smell of it, leaves my face very mosturized too.

I haven't used the soap yet as I've been experiment with different ways of lathering my Martin De Candre this week, but I did whip up two or three batches of lather, took me a few tries to keep the lather from gettin too light and airy. Next week will be Cade all week.

I just bought my second puck of the cade soap and the AS balm as well. The first puck lasted for over a year of pretty heavy usage. I love the scent and found the best way to get a good lather was to put a little hot water on the puck before you jump in the shower and let it soak, then leave you brush a little wet and Kaboom, lather in mounds!

I have both the L'Occitane soap and cream. I've used both of them to create a super lather. Wowzers!

I love the scent of soap and cream as well as the long-lasting scent of the EDT.

IMHO L'Occitane soap lathers easier and quicker than the cream, but my experience may be the exception to the rule.

I'll try leaving a little water to soak on it. How wet r you leaving your brush?

Give it one shake, it'll still be pretty wet.

Cade has more or less been my only soap (aside from a few I tried here and there) since I began wetshaving. For me it has always been easy to use and an excellent performer. I've used it stand-alone, with cream, with liquid lanolin, and with all three - it always creates a great lather. I don't even usually soak the puck first, I just wet my brush, load up, and go. It's not a very picky soap at all.

Shaved with the Cade soap yesterday, the lather wasn't quite as dense and creamy as I'm used to from Castle Forbes and MDC. The shave was comfortable, but not the slickest. I did use a bit less water than JoeSomebody suggested, so I'll try more tomorrow, for today is a MDC day.

The ASB is very nice, great scent and very moisturizing.

Thanks to the sample you sent me, it's fast becoming just about the only soap I use with any kind of regularity. I was totally a MWF guy but I must admit this soap completely blows the doors off my beloved MWF. Will I keep others on hand? Of course, but L'Occitane Cade will be what I reach for more times than not. Great stuff, I give it nothing but effusive praises. Goes well with Aqua Velva Musk or Sandalwood too.
