Arko shave stick is what I use when traveling.
Great lather and the scent is nice.

Well it's just a good job I don't worship at the alter of soap then isn't it
I keep the soap in the bottom of my bowl so that I can whack in the cream cocktail of my choice, a bit of glycerin and a capful of bottled water, then lather straight in there with a dry brush. At the end I squeeze all the excess lather out if my brush, put it back into the soap bowl to keep the Palmolive company and it is the base for my mix the next day.Bread and water can so easily become tea and toast

It most certainly is, and as all thr excess goes back I don't even feel guilty. My fave mix of creams at the moment to put in the cauldron is musgo alorange amber and TBS maca root in a 50/50 blend.
Here is a bit of lather porn, the fresh brush wringings, on top of the Palmolive, ready to go back into service tomorrow.Bread and water can so easily become tea and toast

Just for S&Gs I think I'll try a face uber lather tomorrow when I shave to see how that works. Can't bring myself to bowl lathe again.

So I ordered a few shave stick containers from West Coast Shaving as per your suggestion jmsodpc and I couldn't be happier.
Perfect fit for the Arko stick, currently my favorite soap.
I think it was also mentioned that the Arko label wraps well.
Picture attached.......
Next I think I will try to mold a chunk of Cella into one of these containers as well.
I wonder if anybody has tried Cella as a shave stick?

Those stick containers work great!
As promised I did form Cella into one of them.
It works,.....it's softer than Arco but if you are a fan of stick shaving like I am and have a kg of Cella kicking around it's a good way to reduce inventory.
If you try this make sure you cool/harden the Cella first or it may be too soft to form properly.S.L.A.M.,.......SHAVE LIKE A MAN!!!

Ed, As a newbie and having had newb lathering problems, I've always been fascinated with your lathering routine and hate dumping my uberlathers also, but I have a question or two.
I don't quite understand the how, when and where the Palmolive is used. Do you put the soap puck in, add cream, glycerin, lather then squeeze the Palmolive in(how much?) afterward?
