What's this about witches now...Geez, you know we're not all chicks don't cha. And that whole warming up your fingers by a nice pyre of witches went out with pointy hats years ago...:)
And on that note, I plan on going for a ride...On my bicycle...in the morning, and it's getting quite late. Time for beddy by for me. I'll catch up for my dose of laughter later tomorrow. :)

Yeah. OK, there's the plumbing, public sanitation, political system and government, but what have the Romans really done for us? (I'm guessing t the text)..
Where are you going?
We're coming with you.
No, you stay here, and make sure HE doesn't leave the room.
What, him?
One day son, all this will be yours...
What? The curtains?
Yeah, goodnight guys and sorry to Phrank who has just joined in. Cindy went to bed in disgust an hour ago, but it's Friday and I'm hanging with the lads.
Tomorrow is a lazy day, Sunday I hope for weighted chair pushups and hill sprints and /or outdoor bouldering traversing...
Guys, be good, be healthy, be happy...Go well, be well...
I am con-mused (you will figure it out). And mme Flaubert has not been devalued, she is your concubine, dealing with your vanity would be a full time job for her, and she is the pastry chef, providing us with such delectibles as pain au chocolat, maple and pecan danish and trifle.
What's this about me taking an early night?!?! I'll have you now it was 2330, or there abouts when I quit the joint, and I was up again at 0530.I planned for a 0600, but the middle mickette came in to dob the little mickette in for raiding the fridge and pinching the oldest mickette's candy cane that was given to her by a friend at school. It was guerrilla warfare first thing here, what with dawn raids, sentries screaming out warnings and the screams of the injured! A good damn thing I got the rest when I could :).

Gets kind of harsh on the manhood riding on flat tyres. And I don't know that I could be bother with taking the time to pull up the councils well manicure park grass, nor would I think they would like it too much me pulling up clumps of dirt and grass where the kiddies are supposed to be able to play. No I think I would just use my bike as a club and knock one of those lycra dudes off of their bike and ride away on that...:).
Mick
Well lets just hope the bugger I clock has the same size shoe as me then. It would save me a whole heap of mess and trouble...;)
Mick
He would also need to be the same height as you, those racers are pretty heavily tuned to the user, if his legs were longer than yours you would still need his feet, and maybe part of his lower legs.
I'd cross thread 'em just to be annoying. Oh wait! Their my pedals I'm sticking on the other blokes cranks. Oh but wait again. The spindle on my pedals is steel and the other blokes cranks are most likely some space age million dollar a pop alloy. Yep. I'll cross thread 'em. :)

Militia... I guess I could be your medic.
Not much into shooting things.
And that other thing... what was it it?
Oh yeh - exercise or something.
Was discussing body weight exercise with a friend the other day and chatting about how burpees (including a full press-up) tend to cover just about everything. Core, arms, legs, some aerobic if you push the speed and reps.
He suggested a nasty addition that he has seen...
Dumb-bell burpees.
Holding 2 dumb-bells (am using 7.5kg at present)
Drop, burpee out, press-up, burpee back in, stand up then shoulder press straight over-head.
20 is surprisingly hard work!
trying for 10, 30 oblique crunches and then another 10 (allows to me to keep my form a bit tidier)
like this but doing a press-up in the burpee too

I've been working so much.. When i get home I'm so exhausted I can't even think about getting off my couch.. I used to be huge into working out.. Been doing martial arts for a ill bit Krav Maga and actually enjoy learning something while working out..I like working out with groups of people.. And my brother is a huge cross fit guy.. So may jump, into that.. Think my key is going straight to work out right after work and not stopping home.. Either way have to kick myself In The but and get out there
I did Krav Maga for a bit, I really enjoyed it, even the smashing of shin bone on shin bone.
I agree about hitting a gym right after work, esp if work tires you, unless you work close to home. By the time I drive home (an hour on the road) or bus it home (and hour and a quarter) I'm in no mood to work out.
I did some 'bouldering' a few years back. There is a local gym that gave 3 month memberships for the Winter. I tell you my back was wide and my forearms pumped after those 3 months. Getting a cardio workout doing it is a little harder though. My partner and I would chose the easiest routes and see how fast we could get up them.
These days I have a great little gym in my basement. Smith Machine, Speed Bag, Heavy bag, recumbent stationary bike. I work a rotating shift work, so it is a challenge getting a workout on a regular basis. Having the gym right at home makes it easier. Wakeup, coffee, play with the dog while I stretch, hit the bags.....or hit the gym right after getting home and playing with the dog. Been at it regular now for over a year and a half. Thanks to the SWMBO I have the free time to do it..
Yeah, without bragging or anything, my back is really quite 'craggy' at the moment, and my forearms are getting pretty big and veiny, downside is my hands look like I pleasure myself a lot (my wife's favorite joke).
I used to like my punching bag, I'd do two little 'rabbit punches' I think they're called, wait for the bag to swing back and then do four, wait 'till it swung back again and then six, etc up to twenty...
Also, I found five three minute rounds were good, with a minute in between...
You can get a pretty good cardio workout with bouldering if you don't rest very much between problems, and do repeating under hanging problems (if available; I'm sure they would be over there, ours is TINY compared to those HUGE bouldering gyms I've seen on line in the US!)...
I have never been in to working out but I am trying to change that. Maybe this thread will give me some extra motivation to keep doing it. I have a tendency to quit after a while.
I think it is important for it to be enjoyable. For instance I loathe doing abs. So I dont do them. My abs get a workout though when I kick the heavy bag, which is a blast.
Stationary biking is a drag too, but I make it more enjoyable by having it in front of Netflix on a bigscreen TV.
It is also important to remember that doing 40 minutes of anything everyday is healthier than laying on the couch watching the tube.
