I remember the day he destroyed England in the RWC semi-final of 1995 and in particular running straight through Mike Catt. Fortunately, we managed to keep him quiet in the Final with James Small doing a superb job.
If memory serves me correctly, he married a South African woman from Bloemfontein a year or two after that final.Tony

Thanked: 580All Blacks 39 Wales 21. What a brilliant game, final score doesn't reflect on how well the Welsh played. Great defence and attack, I think we got lucky. Best performance from a Welsh rugby side I have seen for a long time.

Thanked: 580For our Stateside friends, rugby in Chicago.
United States Eagles vs. Maori All Blacks Toyota Park, Bridgeview, IL Nov 04
NZ All Blacks vs. Ireland Soldier Field Stadium, Chicago, IL Nov 05
Should be some good rugby. Probably free to air over there.
As of 22 October 2016, the All Blacks have won a record 45 consecutive tests at home. New Zealand's longest winning streak is 18 test victories, achieved between between 2015 and 2016 (still going).
Having said that Ireland are a great team, and I wouldn't underestimate them.
Apparently Chicago has a large Irish community, and the reason for it being played there.
The Maori All Blacks are a tough side too, will be watching both games if I can.Into this house we're born, into this world we're thrown ~ Jim Morrison

Going to be interesting to see how SA fair on their end of season tour.
I think they'll beat the Barbarians and Italy but lose to both England & Wales.Tony

Thanked: 580With the Cubs winning the World Series for the first time in 108 years it seems Chicago was the place to be for breaking sporting droughts with Ireland beating the All Blacks for the first time in 111 years of test matches 40 - 29. What a great game it was, the best I had watched in some time. I had a feeling they would pull out all the stops, and they certainly did. One of those games where you don't mind your team losing. Congrats Ireland, a well deserved win. Dublin next, can't wait.
