I didn't see the Ireland / All Blacks game. I don't know if the memory of their late coach served as an inspiration but by all accounts, the Irish played extremely well.
South Africa on the other hand, although having a youngish side, should have had too much cohesion for the Babaa's. Alas that wasn't the case but it was an exciting game to watch.Tony

So the Springboks have had a miserable tour to the UK, drawing with the Baa-baas and losing to both England and Italy.
I don't see their fortunes being reversed against Wales on Saturday and think the Welsh will win.Tony

No interest in the Lions tour of New Zealand?
I have managed to get tickets for the Springboks game against France at Ellis Park on 24 June.Tony

Tony the Springboks are not the force they once were I think those stupid racial quota rules are harming them, I'm in no way racist but why should a player be choosen to play because of the colour of his skin If he's a better player yes but definitely not picked because of his colour.

I have to agree with you Jamie. One just has to see how many South Africans are now playing for other countries because their opportunities have become limited. CJ Stander who is now playing for the B & I Lions is a good example.
Not only rugby but also cricket as well.
Let the best man play irrespective of colour!Tony

Thanked: 580Disappointing performances against provincial sides although they won against our Barbarians in Whangarei.
We are copping a bit of international flak due to the performance of the haka by the blues due to recent events, fair comment. No offence intended, but definitely a momentary lapse of reason by management.
The All Black matches may well be a different story, it is when everyone plays at optimum. That is the true test, and best of luck to the Lions.Into this house we're born, into this world we're thrown ~ Jim Morrison

I saw Sonny Bill's try and it was a real cracker and fair play to the Blues, they really upped their game. It reminds me of the All Blacks touring South Africa many many tears ago and the provincial team Western Province scored a stunning upset win. I can't remember though if it was against the Saturday or midweek team.
Nevertheless, It's going to be a real humdinger of a test series.Tony
