Thanked: 580They have been showing the NFL on TV down here. I like the game, but 3 hours of mostly ads it seems spoils it.

Thanked: 580A great game this morning. South Africa are a tough team, they played extremely well and I was on the edge of my seat till the end. We gave away far too many penalties, but took it by 2 points. On to the final...

Thanked: 580That is crazy...found this on the internet..An average professional football game lasts 3 hours and 12 minutes, but if you tally up the time when the ball is actually in play, the action amounts to a mere 11 minutes.
Rugby union is 80 minutes, take in to account setting scrums, line outs and penalties the ball is probably 70 minutes in play.
I am surprised the US doesn't have a much better representation in rugby union.Into this house we're born, into this world we're thrown ~ Jim Morrison

As a neutral I'm hoping for a New Zealand v Australia, after seeing the semi finals I'm thinking Wales missed a real chance they should have been there.

After the bruising AB v SA encounter, the Aussies and Pumas served up an entertaining game with the Aussies running out deserved winners.
It will be a close game on Saturday and could go either way although I suspect that the AB's will start as favourites.Tony

SA claim the bronze in a thrilling encounter with the Pumas.
Time for our coach to depart to be replaced with someone with more vision and who is not afraid to play expansive rugby and who is also not afraid to transform the team into one that represents the talent we have in SA.
Today's game should be cracker.Tony

Sadly I'll be spending the day on a plane, but hopefully there's a pub at my destination that will show it in replay tonight.
