I use a Tony Miller 3 in. Heirloom "Old Number 2" fast bridle strop 99% of the time. The other 1%, usually while on vacation, I use a Star Shaving OVB.

The Miller use sparingly for my Sunday shaves
My Kanayama takes care of all my stropping every other day
My Scruplworks takes on the after shave work
The Roo strop is hanging where I hone to polish up and line up the edge between hones.
I have one razor I've been maintaining on the CBN as an experiment with about 100 shaves on the edge

Nelson, I have really liked the looks of that Raven, I hope you do too, it ain't n the lower end of the budget is it? Tc
No it ain't and to add insult to injury they don't normally stock the thing you have to order it and you can wait 6 months for it because the black Cordovan is very hard to get.

It's totally different than any other strop. if you've ever seen a cordovan pair of shoes or watch strap it's exactly the same leather. It improves over time...a long time.

it's slick, very slick and shiny and since it's bonded to normal leather you can use the back too.

The only one I have is my SRD Red Latigo seems to work fine so far I honestly think though I wouldn't mind something with a bit less draw on it but she is doin the job.

I have 3 strops and working on making my own. Horween is just down the road, so....

    Ruprazor filly
    SRD 3" w/ webbing
    Kanayama 30000

The filly is out of the rotation, SRD is main driver but transitioning to my post shave strop/honing strop. I've used the 30k a few times, it looks and feels so nice that it pushes me to do everything absolutely perfect with it.

Spotted a Unicorn in the canyon below my house. Going to bag that sucker tonight and make my own strop...taking orders now.
Until then I'm using Newspaper post shave and my SRD Natural with Syn web pre-shave..

I have two "sets" I strop with: a leather board strop and a newspaper strop. The second set is a Bison made English Bridal Leather and linen strop. Both "sets" work very well.
