Thanked: 101So What Are YOU Stropping With???
I am using my two Shell Horsehide strops at the moment. One is a Koken Barber Hand Finish Shell #1 Selection & the other is a Jager Barber Supply of Springfield IL #999 Shell strop. The Koken Has a Scotch Linen back strop & the Jager has a treated rough out leather back strop. Love them both. I tried some other strops both American & import & they just don't feel good compared to these two.
Let us know what you use!

Thanked: 3225The strop I use is a Neil Miller shell Cordovan with an English linen secondary. I have a Bridle leather strop with hard felt secondary and only use the hard felt impregnated with Crox. A small, narrow shell and canvas vintage strop (Marshall Wells Zenith brand) that I never use as I don't care for narrow strops.

Neil Miller Shell, with linen,
Kanayama #3 with suede
Scrupleworks horsehide and natural flax line
SRD Roo, with the sea belt linen
Paper Sailcloth, courtesy of Marty,(Euclid) with CBN
The Miller use sparingly for my Sunday shaves
My Kanayama takes care of all my stropping every other day
My Scruplworks takes on the after shave work
The Roo strop is hanging where I hone to polish up and line up the edge between hones.
I have one razor I've been maintaining on the CBN as an experiment with about 100 shaves on the edge
Nelson, I have really liked the looks of that Raven, I hope you do too, it ain't n the lower end of the budget is it? Tc“ I,m getting the impression that everyone thinks I have TIME to fix their bikes”

I have a Kanayama Shell Cordovan strop that doesn't see much use due to my Koken strop. That Koken is by far my favorite.

What a curse be a dull razor; what a prideful comfort a sharp one
