It takes a real man to admit when he has made a mistake. We all have been there. Thanks for demonstrating to all of us at every skill level that we are not perfect and may still make mistakes from time to time. Very encouraging video for the newbies.

I haven't seen this video up here yet, but it does a wonderful job of showing the difference between "wrist-flippng" and "finger-flipping". Wrist flipping is not as precise and gentle a movement as finger-flipping.

lol was that one of your roo strops? I remember one of the first stropping youtube videos I watched, the guy was going superfast so I thought thats how I should do it, wack...wack...wack...wack...this is not going to good, wack...wack...wack. Glue the two pieces to scrap 2x4's....
I dream of a world where a chicken can cross a road without having it's motives questioned.

Yes it was. That is the problem with roo - screw around too much and it just slices in two before you know it. Although you'll be happy to know that was merely a sliver in the video. Strop is still very much in one piece and useable.

Yeah, take a look at the slow motion part from about 30 seconds to around the 40 seconds mark. I cut the strop near my body at around 33 seconds, but the leather flap stays down. Then the next few strokes raise the leather flap. It is kind of hard to see, but it is there if you look hard. Try viewing it in the youtube site itself, whack the quality up to 780, and perhaps put it in full screen mode.
