Man that original video is hardcore. It makes my sensitive neck skin hurt just watching it! I haven't tried against the grain anywhere yet, (two shaves in), but it makes me cringe just to watch anyone do it. Let alone at 20 times the speed of me.

I have to go UP under my chin on both sides as that is the lay of my whiskers. I'm not as fast as Willie, but since starting this mid Feb. of this year, I can shave all , 2 pass in about 15 minutes. That's shaving time and 2nd application. Even chin. Lip areas takes the longest. You get someone that has done it for years, and I am sure that they have developed the proper mental skill and tenacity to do what Willie Hauser has done. Actually, a lot of it is confidence in your stroke and that you are NOT going to cut your first layer of skin off. LOL

Ha! I'm lucky to be finished with my first pass in the time it took him to do two passes. Of course, I have only about 6 shaves with a cutthroat, and I'm not shaving in what appears to be the kitchen sink in an apparently very small apartment. I suppose Mama was waiting for honey to finish his shave so she could get the grub cooking. I couldn't help but wince when he went ATG on the neck with the first pass with such growth. OUCH! Entertaining though!

When I use my straight at work my prep consists of just a quick splash of water then lather, I also normally use boiling water on my brushes, never had any problem with it

Posted a thread about my brush falling apart, iused to use boiling water, in fact I had 2 brushes cheap $10 poss synthetic or hair don't know, they both died in quick succession, I had one of them for years, the other about 6 mths, I started using boiling water and within a few days they both had the crown fall out in chunks. Fortunately I had a good brush in the post. As I said earlier, you will get pounded by the senior members if you post about it breaking your brush...
