Thanked: 0simply a pro
I don't understand why there are those who can't accept this guy as being very good at what he does.
All I saw was a man shave himself in a manner that seems to me normal and quick, like he's got catch the train and have breakfast inside of 20 minutes. Great video!

Thanked: 1212Because they feel intimidated by so much competence...
Some months ago, I was in a pub, talking to a friend that also shaves with a straight razor. A third guy overheard us and showed interest. But as soon as we started explaining what it is we like in straight razors so much, he became increasingly offensive. It ended with him saying "he found us pathetic". When I asked him why, he refused to answer and went searching for another barstool.
What strikes me in this video is not the mere speed, but the patency of Willi's shave. It's just a shave. No big deal. In many other Youtube video's we see guys that are seemingly very aware of the camera and of themselves. Willi seems completely at ease, and in tune with himself and the way hey shaves. I admire that.
Bart.

Thanked: 2Definitely not a video for a "first timer" to watch. Not impressed with his technique. Must have tough skin because even with the cut in his soul patch area, he's not very gentle.

Hey Willi,
I think you need to do more shaving videos! This one is truly spectacular!

Thanked: 317The other thing that a few folks seem to be forgetting, is that there IS a time and place for simply scraping the hair off your face as quickly as possible. This is certainly not a great example of good shaving technique, but he shows how to get the job done fast without major blood loss.

Thanked: 84I really liked the video, proper earthy real world shaving.
I think the gentleman is a great advert for using a "proper" razor to simply shave !
I often have a "quick shave" in a similar time. If you use a really keen razor the results are pretty good.
Well done Willi.

I really like it too. I don't watch it as a How-to, more of a How-it-can-be-done-if you're-really-adept. I've never managed a shave, any shave, that fast (electric, cartridge, DE, straight) but so what? Willi can and does.

I thoguht it was a cool video. I guess we didn't make the guy feel welcome as he hasn't been around here any more. too bad. i'm going to probably do a couple more vids of me with my next two new razors. I got a special request by a female friend to wear a shirt this time though. just doesn't seem natural when shaving. we'll see.
