Great job on the zebrawood scales, Mike! It's been fun seeing them come along and what a spectacular result (like we all knew it would be :D) You got that Tru-Oil finish perfected, gives me something to strive for.
I do believe that is one of the skateboard brush handles. Tom. Looks very cool, seems not so far from getting the knots in? Looking very good.
And mihai, those are beautiful horn scales, love the elegant shape. Very pleasing, betcha they're great in the hand too!
mihai, those scales look great and you did a great job of getting the depth and color to show in your pictures.
Mike, your wood scales are fantastic, you certainly have gotten that process dialed in.
Beautiful work on those scales Mike!!
Nice work gentlemen. And Mike, i thought it was a secrete on how you get your high gloss shine. Now you told everyone. All i can say is it sure works well for a high gloss finish. :bow
We finished a tung oil treatment; The finish is pretty matte, I had to polish it to him to give it a little shine.

The finish looks great Mahai.
How many applications of tung oil did you apply.
We applied 3 layers according to the 24 hour recommendations, And after another 2-3 days I polished it.
As I said, the shine is not spectacular, my goal was to make wood more waterproof and look a little better.
Well you did a great job. It's waterproof and looks very good
