Shes almost there.
Still full of pitts, but ive got good steel at the edge.
Needs buffed though.
Scales have been cut ( African pauca wood) sill need shaped sanded and CAed
Finished this one the other day. Nothing special. Removed from scales, repair scales ( horn), clean blade ( no sanding), repinn and hone. Shave was awsome.

Damn I'll have to post a done pic.
Being i dont have one
Good job Mike! That Fredericks blade should come out nice. I'm making another set of honey scales................
You'd hate me if I showed you the Fredericks I have.
The Taylor, with the horn scales is a true wedge.
Took forever to get it honed, but man it shaves like no other. It has no equal in my rotation.
Just a incredible blade.
Heres the scales I've cut for the Fredrick.

[QUOTE=outback;1524361]Heres the scales I've cut for the Fredrick.
Those are nice Mike but the tang end looks a little long. Will you be able to maneuver the tail with 'em like that?
Awwww hell, here's my favorite Fredericks:

That's a gorgeous razor.
And from my drawing of the scales from a cutout of the blade, yes it is a little long. But should function just fine.
The blade should rest in the scales like your fredrick, with the notch visable.
The blade is 5/8 at heal,6/8 at toe.[emoji6]
