Been working on a couple sets of scales for the last two weeks. When I got the time I would put some Tru-oil on them. Took a while with my work schedule lately. But here is one razor I got pinned up and ready for the honing box.
Army and Navy Imperial dressed in Bubinga. Brass collars and nic/silver pins. Use my new anvil where it was polished in the middle to pin this one. It is much nicer pinning on this anvil. More solid. I had it tight before I knew it! Razor centers great. Another for my Imperial collection.

The pivot pin is a little off center. I got to work on that some more. But the picture makes it look off a bunch. Damn camera.
I'll be getting these back in shave ready condition:

I'm a patient honer that takes his time, so this will take me a while :o
It looks though as if the original user always oiled his blades, I can see a dried out coat judging by the color on them, who knows how long they have been sitting
I'll starts with the ones in great condition, examine the edge first, the ones that are good I might just try giving a good stropping and hoping to get a feel of how the original user experienced it, I love that.
Then I'll get the ones that need minimal attention and lastly the one with a couple of visible, small, chips in the edge
Here are some pics of the razors, they're all Swedish framebacks:

I was just looking for a Swedish frameback razor and stumbled upon that set, I'm very happy with 'em and got 7 razors in the deal
The initials on the box do give it an extra something, someone cared greatly for them
I've been figuring out what I like and want in a razor and since I've tried a Swedish frameback I haven't looked back, this 7-day set kind of ended my RAD for me, I'm good ... for a while I suppose :o
Well, the tooth putty on the chicken-beak was still soft today.
Instructions say moisture accelerates the set, so the chicken is enduring water torture for a while!

Just have to put the seats back in ,a power window switch, already put a new power steering pump and used the original can...change the oil and I’ll be ready For cruising next week !
Meh, The tooth stuff fell-off in the water. I cannot see where it would work on a tooth either.
If I position the lamp just right, it looks fine anyway.
Good news is they are back in service. Much nicer!
I have this big Wade & Butcher coming in, all original looks in very good order as it's for myself so I've decided to give it a light restore with a new set of scales, I've roughly cut the horn and made the wedge I'm going with blonde horn scales including horn wedge lined with 0.4mm brass sheet + new Bullseye washers, I should get it restored over the next 2 weeks if I put in enough time we shall see.
