I just realized that I had assumed it was a Shumate Imp, because that's what I was holding last night.. the Shumate Imp has a 2.25" long edge, a really tiny razor.Quote:

FME, the Morris Red Imps had more stable scales than the Case ones.......

Filled the tang stamps with silver paint, on the Imp. Will have to touch up again, after touching it too early and had it stick to my fingers..:banghead: peened the wedge tight and took it to the scroll saw to open it up a bit, a little faster than the mighty hacksaw blade.
Pinned it with nickle/silver rod, and a couple, under collar washers. Not a show piece, just another shaver. :tu

Then finished the repairs on the scales for the Wosty, and put them in oil. They look pretty good, so their only going to soak for 24 hrs.

Have you ever used a vacuum chamber to get oil into horn or bone scales? Just wondering :shrug:
No, I haven't. I do remember you doing it, I believe. Would definitely work in a lot deeper.
