16 oz is a lot. I have had my bottle for a long time and the end is not in sight.
I have also used bluing.
I got a wee bit of razor time in today. I have hated the scales I made for my Herder 76, so today I swapped them out. I will have to touch it up before I can shave with it but I think it is a fantastic home for my snack attack scales.

Some need a complete bevel-set like the 76 I put into the Octopus's Garden scales.
Some just need a little. I guess when they halted production, everything is as it was.

From my experiences in life--unless you find a way to 'seal' that artificial finish--Mother Nature is going to change it and 'Might Do So' even if you do seal it.

I have a personal problem with the idea of a forced/false patina.
Sort of like purposely rusting and fading a car to make it look old. I hope that is a good example!:rofl2:
If you have something old preserve it to the best of your ability or grind away the rust etc. if necessary to make it the best that can be saved.
To build something new and make it look old is a forgery.
