Yup, egg in a hole,, just poking fun at your statement about unable to cook an egg.
Taught my kids to make them that way as it was easier to flip fir over easy.

We could start a thread in the finer things in life about eggs in the hole and their variations.....

Been making use of the new belt grinder. Had this Marshes & Shepherd that I’ve been meaning to get to for a couple of years. I’ll probably catch hell for cleaning up the blade faces, but I left the tang and spine with all the patina and pock marks. Ran out of scale material though, I need to find a piece of horn like JOB15’s, at least 3 sets of scales in that slab of horn.

    I agree.

With that said, I do wish the pictures were better (more like the before pics) as the darkness doesn't show how well it came out.

    More pics--PLEASE!!

Nice job on getting that face so clean. The plunge lines look perfect too. You have done an amazing job. Do you think you can do the tang and keep the makers marks crisps?

Left some in the tang, too. Didn't want to wipe out the stamp.

I either remove all the pits on the tang or accentuate them with cold blue and polish, so only the pits and stamps are black.

If you don’t like the look, it can all be sanded off and polished.

Nice work on the blade. Screams for horn scales and lead wedge.
