It feels softer to the face, almost blunt in a way. The vary first time I shaved with one, I thought I was using the spine. Its hard to explain, it has to be felt

I agree. Its different feeling. I like it and wish I had more of them. Sounds lime Aaron needs to buy one and ship it to Mike for fixing so he can feel it too.
They're beautiful, and I would love to shave with one. Maybe y'all will laugh, but I always look at that tang to blade transition without a thumb notch, shoulder, stabilizer-just practically a straight line, and I wonder if I wouldn't slip and cut my thumb half off. I imagine you have to be mindful of that, no?

You do have to keep the bottom of the tang in mind and no slips.
I finally finished up the "Cutting Board" Combo I had been working on a few weeks ago. I had to wait the usual eternity to restock some of my favorite collars from our Romanian friend-I should have ordered sooner. The blade is an Army Navy CSL (Cooperative Society Limited according to this link): http://https://www.housefraserarchiv...pany/?id=c0512Typical soft British steel from that era that took an easy, incredible edge off of my huge black Arkansas followed up by about 50 laps on the yellow-green thuri bout Jerry sold me. I gave it a very gentle wedge angle with a matching redheart piece so as not to put too much stress on that cutting board laminate, which I backed with black G10 for stability.

My woodworker friend who keeps me supplied with cutoffs, scale blanks and scraps turned that brush handle for me (which got me into turning), so I figured the least I could is make him a combo set with the cutoffs from his cutting boards and pepper-mills, as that look is kind of his "brand." Plus, I like to do different and unusual projects-this one fit the bill.
