Thanks, I like the new profile also. I adjusted it some to take the rock out if the stroke to keep the bevel even. Now it lies nice and flat on the stone.
Filled all the bites or sanded out the tiny ones...more on that later but I figured I'd share this.

Those things are the bomb. Apparently the polishing side is silk.
Yep, this one was a freebie that my daughter got at a local Ulta store. They make bigger ones and sets. As you said, the polisher feels like plain foam but you can tell when you use it that it is an ultra fine buffer.
