Thanked: 4206The Maas did the trick quite well on the dis colored tang
Lost a little detail at the number, but I can live with that.
All done with just a rag and Maas. Need to find some of that up here. Rag turned brown as I rubbed so I knew it was working. Took maybe 20 minutes of med than light pressure.

Cant wait to see how well this one turns out.
It isnt my Grandfathers though. His other straight was a King Cutter and jsut needs honing which I'll do myself. I got the conqueror at a local antiques store along with the eidelweiss. Figured they would be appropriate thanx and unlike me you could save the gold.
