Those scales turned out nice, outback! What is that wood again?
It's teak. A water resistant wood used in the marine industry. Quite strong too, for a open grain.
Very nice restore on that fifty Tom! Would be a hoot to toot around on that now that it's up sized.
Teak scales, very nice look Mike. Bet that open grain feels nice in the hand.

That teak reminds me of some old bog oak. I have to remember your stain recipe. That would work well on an old chest I have that needs some work.
