Looks great Tom, now I really need to do something with those aluminium scales that you so generously gave to a tortoise-fast artist.
Man I wish I had your skillset involving pinning.

Some great work there to all the Mikes, Braz, & Tom. I have so many things I need to do, I don't know what to do next!
Here's one of my upcoming projects. I have had a Genco Easy Aces with good scales but a chipped blade. Then I came across one with bad scales but a good blade so now I will decide whether to clean it up as is or to re-blue the tang. I might just leave it because it is a spare. The blueing is still good on it but it had a small rust spot on the opposite side plus the blade had a spot on it so if I can get it out then I might re-blue it, if not then it's all good.

You can't see the rust on the blueing but it is minimal unless the rest of the blade looked nice. I'll probably sell this one anyway. I have my minty one put away.

I did the same thing with a few of those a while back, Steve. It wound up with Matt giving it a home.
Those are bad about cell-rot. I seem to keep it at bay with a slathering of wet silicone on occasion.

Thanks for your comment. Yes, I'm happy with it. Honed it yesterday. It had a little pitting in the bevel in one small area so I was pretty aggressive in trying to set a new bevel. I took it through 12k and gave it a three-pass shave test last evening. It's good! It has earned a spot in my rotation for sure.

This Logan-Gregg Hardware labeled Boker should be a quick cleanup and hone..... I hope. Got a black imperial IPA from my favorite brewery out of Burlington, and I've got Star Wars episode 7 blasting on the tv..... All is good!!

Nothing but Polish and a little reprofiling to a frowning edge. Time to hone.....

That's a cool razor Andrew. I think I might have one similar somewhere.

All done. Had to get on the DMT 325 to get the bevel back after re profiling, but the edge turned out great.
