    Thanks, Guys!
It's gonna be nice when it's done. Spent a few hours dragging the furnishings around to where I liked them most to-day.

I have to factor in the two tall sterilizer cabinets and one short one. The record player is a repro old one which will sit on that repop 'ice-box' cabinet. The badge on it sez Simmons Hardware!
I Am planning on elevating that barber pole sign and adding bulbs inside to blow light out of the top and bottom. A sconce, if you will.

Finished the first set of scales for the Butchers. Sanded to 1000 grt. , polished with Howards Restore-A-Shine, and sealed with Jubilee kitchen Wax, staying with that soft, natural, ebony glow.
The pics don't do them much justice, their awesome to see in hand.

    Thanks, Tuzi!
Sauntered down the hall this morning and picked me a Rodgers razor I had taken out of rotation a few years back.
Gave it a pile of the strop and it was like old times again!

That's fantastic! What a joy to be able to do that. I would probably stand there slack-jawed in awe and unable to make up my mind, all the while growing a beard.

Outback those scales are stunning. Thanks for sharing about the finish, I'll keep that in mind. I unpinned a Joseph Elliot I did in ebony a few years back because as I look at it now the scales are not quite up to my current standards. I just need to thin them down a little I think. Really nice work there

Not so hard! About 30 percent (conservatively!) are shavers. Lots were obtained, cleaned-up, and installed. Nice ones.
Little by little, they get honed and go through the rotation and wind up back in the case.
If you want to shave with some, you gotta hone them!
    That's how it works!
