    sharptonn Thanks!
Yes, there are lots of delicious photos
After a while I came across many such sets. I probably rebuilt the lock in the original handle only once. It required a lot of perseverance. Lots and lots of patience. And all handmade.
Others I did just replace the shank.

I've been using this stuff on these scales. Howards feed & Wax, it has Bee's wax, and orange oil. I just rub a bit in every now and then and let it soak in.
Doesn't look like there's anything on them, but when water hits them, it beads and runs off.

    Thanks

I'll have a look at that. I actually use a beeswax/oliveoil concoction on my walking boots 😂

I would love to see the chimes! If the price is right, I'm in for making a handle, cheerz

I like these pictures for an example. They are all slightly different. I think that you would have to take the combination of the biggest notch and the shortest tang on them and then make them all match. Then make a handle to match those.

A fun project especially if you don't count your labor as anything!

Couldn't get to sleep. So broke out the boys blade and had at it up to 1500 grit. Although I was light handed as I don't want to ruin the etching.

I'm happy with how it is coming on.

Waiting for scale bits to arrive.
