Benz so sorry for your lose. I lost my grandfather about this time of year when I was young. It is hard. But glad to hear the honing went well.

Outback there's a reason we're all here my friend. Just think, He's not done with you yet........kinda scarey to me sometimes to think that lol

You guys are a true inspiration in here, I'm going to try my hand at a minor restoration soon. Nothing like you guys, but baby steps will get me going to where I want to be

Merry Christmas my friends, I hope your holidays are filled with joy and happiness

I'll take er to the hones tomorrow.

Mike that thing looks great. I hope both of our Sheffield razors deliver smooth test shaves for us. What do you plan on for a finishing stone? I was undecided between my Thuringian or the coticule.......the family coticule won out.

    She'll go to the Thurigan.
Keep hearing good things about the coties, so I'll have to nab one some day.

The shaves between the two are very similar to me. I will say that I was fortunate enough to get a very good coti and I know my stone. This may sound weird but it's like the stone talks to me and tells me when it has given its best.

Doesn't sound weird at all. They all talk to us, ya just have to listen more to some, than others.
My Thurigan talks to me..when it stops, is when its given its all.

Ah Ha ! L'arme secrète ! Le Flitz Canadien.
