Impressive work Martin. The trouble with chips is they so often conceal cracks. It looks like you are almost at the end of the mission with this one. Nice blade shape.

Got this straight yesterday a Verinder St. Pauls it had virtually no rust. I gave the blade a light sanding with a scotch brite wheel. I wanted to keep the ground texture. The scales are bowed, but they do not interfere with the blade. I guess I will leave as is for now.

Snow day in the NE. I'm trying to see if i can do a rescale in a day. Cut these this morning from Black Walnut.. soaking in Danish Oil for about an hour.. then pins and stones for a test shave this evening.

Speedy. It is a little more tricky dealing with wood or liners because you are always waiting for glue or finishes to dry. Horn and bone are both self finishing so they go pretty quick. I bet you can do it and have them look great.
