As with the pic that I showed you by removing the stabilizer you would need to round the point off to avoid a potential 'blood letter'.
You can still achieve a Spanish 'style point' but it'll take some work.
Have Fun and Keep the PPE on!
Oh for those that don't know: PPE stands for Personal Protective Equipment
Been one of those weeks! This little fancy pants W&B has been ingesting my prandial comestibles for that long.
It came in a nice fitted case and seemed to have had little use. A minor polishing and cleaning should have done for it. Not!
Well. this one is the weirdest I've ever met! How it got to a show/ sales room I really do not know.
It cleaned fairly well but it would not hone for sour owl tweety!]
To use the term waggle, or frown, or smile would not give due justice to its uniqueness!.
Who ever looks at a grind? One usually hones the side down then the other...right?
Look carefully! There is a different grind on each side of the blade!:aargh:
The finish looked as though it had been the original factory polish and not reground then polished. So I learned a lot and hope I train myself better for the future!

I was going for that old ship looking point. The metal is so think at the spine it takes a lot of time to work it down. Might round the heal point off too. I dont know right now. I'll get to some hand sanding and stare at it for a while and see what comes to me.
