Couldn't wait, so this morning at 6am I threw my block on the sander. The black dye has made the wood go a gold tone, but I can see that it has slightly highlighted the burl grain. These guys who stabilize and dye blanks to vibrant colors must use a ton of dye. I put in about 4 table spoons into 2 cups of resin. Figured that would be plenty. Nonetheless, it looks much different than a regular box elder burl blank, so I'm happy with the outcome.
